Geara Doga - Desert Ops (1/144 scale)
This kit was put together straight OOB.
I wanted to focus on my painting skills a little but really concentrate on presenting some battle damage. I used different
techniques like the use of a soldering iron and dremel tool. The blackened gorges are black paint with a silver
drybrush. The "star" dents are scraped out with a panel line scriber and pasteled with different colors. I also
attempted my first post-shading kit which I feel turned out well. To me, post-shading isn't a representation of what
really occurs but what you expect to see when describing an item. So I feel that post shading should be subtle enough
to not be noticed at first, yet stong enough to promote shadows.
