Bawoo the Gale (HGUC 1/144)
I am inspired by the Monev the Gale action figure from the Vash the Stampede
anime. Just going to try to covey some of the general look to the HGUC Bawoo model and see what happens.
I'm currently cleaning up the problems I see with the kit, such as areas you can see "into" the
hollow parts of the kit (like when looking behind the knee you can see the inside of the leg or when looking down at the heel
you can see that it's hollow). I've also decided to use the gun from the old Ex-S kit as the starting foundation for
a gun for this model.
I've completed the "basic" construction of the legs. This basically includes cleaning up
the seams and cutting off sprue tabs and setting up upcoming construction, such as making the bottom of the feet smooth in
order to create the boot treads on the original Monev. I've also completed the rifle too. This ended being a pain
due to the size of it all together. The original rifle is quite plain and seams engineered poorly. I've added
a lot to this rifle (sorry for the fuzzy pix). It looks a little weird now with all the colors of diff. materials, but
hope it will all come together once its primed.
I, for lack of better terms, have become bored with this project. Be it that I sat out
for a while, that it's a transforming suit (which reminds me of the Zeta), or that its a "concept" piece. I've done
most of the general fixes to the suit, but needed to get into expressing the actual Monev attributes. I'm going to set
this kit aside for a little until I feel excited by it again.
